Morning Reset

Two minutes before the scroll — a notification-led ritual that names your mode.

A notification-led ritual that interrupts reactive phone use right after you wake — five one-tap questions, a mode, one concrete first win.

The problem

You open your phone at 7am and surface forty minutes later with no idea what you saw. Meditation apps want ten minutes you don't have. Habit trackers want a routine you can't maintain. The actual problem is the order of operations.

Why now

The only thing that wins against the feed is interrupting before the feed — with something small enough to actually do. Two minutes, five taps, one mode named. That's the whole product.

Why I'm building this

I built Morning Reset because I lost too many mornings to my phone. Apps that try to replace the scroll (meditation, journaling) all lose to the scroll. The only thing that wins is the door between waking and the scroll — five questions, one mode, one first win. Tiny on purpose.

— Can Ayan, founder

How it works

01

Set your morning ping

Weekday and weekend times — you keep your normal alarm.

02

Tap the notification

Five yes/no questions, auto-advancing. 60s idle resets.

03

Pick your first win

Water, movement, first task, or phone down. Then go.

Inside the app

Wake

A notification-led ritual, not an alarm.

What it does

Notification entry

A morning ping opens the 5-question check-in. No need to remember to open the app.

Mode diagnosis

Protect, Steady, or Push — the mode names what kind of morning this is, in the voice of a coach who knows your week.

One first win

The ritual closes by naming the single concrete action that starts your day: water, 60-second movement, first task, or phone down.

Weekly patterns

When strong patterns repeat, a deeper read surfaces — plus a guided 5-minute movement reset on Pro.

  • ·Lived problem — the founder's own scroll loop is the design brief
  • ·Two-minute promise enforced in design — under the median 'just check' window
  • ·Mode naming (Protect / Steady / Push) tested in conversation; copy still being refined
  • ·Headspace ~12M users, Calm ~4M DAU — most lapsed, addressable on a smaller commitment
