If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, your mandatory statutory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence apply on top of these Terms and cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
1. The short version
What the Cubes? Impossible is an offline, single-player arcade game. There is no account, no login, and no online multiplayer. You can play the whole Game for free. Optional in-app purchases (coins, gems, and bundles) are handled entirely by Apple. We do not run ads and we do not track you. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
2. Who can use the Game
The Game is suitable for general audiences. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and consents to any in-app purchases you make. Purchases require Apple's standard payment authorisation on the device.
3. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store rules.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game, except where this is
expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Game.
- Modify, tamper with, or attempt to bypass the Game's progression, difficulty,
economy, or in-app purchase mechanisms.
- Use cheats, automation, or exploits that interfere with the Game's intended
operation.
- Copy or republish the Game's artwork, audio, level design, or other content
outside the Game.
4. In-app purchases and virtual items
The Game offers optional in-app purchases such as coins, gems, and bundles ("Virtual Items").
- All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We never receive or
store your name, card number, or payment details.
- Consumable Virtual Items (e.g. coins and gems) are added to your local game
progress when purchased and are used up as you play. They have no real-world cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not transferable.
- Non-consumable items (e.g. cosmetic bundles) can be restored on the same
Apple ID using the App Store's "Restore Purchases" mechanism.
- Virtual Items exist only within the Game and on your device. If you delete the
Game or your local data is lost, consumable balances may be lost. We are not able to recover on-device progress.
Refunds. Purchases are sold by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its standard policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). Where you have a mandatory statutory right of withdrawal or refund as a consumer, that right is unaffected by this section.
5. Game content and progression
The Game is designed to be challenging, with hundreds of levels of increasing difficulty. Level design, rewards, difficulty curves, the in-game economy, and content may change in future updates to improve balance and the player experience. We do not guarantee that any specific level, reward, item, or feature will remain available or unchanged.
6. Availability and updates
We aim to keep the Game working but provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, change, or discontinue the Game (or any feature) at any time. Some updates may be required for the Game to keep functioning correctly.
7. Intellectual property
The Game and all of its content — including code, artwork, characters, audio, and design — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Nothing in this section removes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you as a consumer.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of game progress, Virtual Items, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Game at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 3–9 and 11) will continue to apply.
11. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, without affecting the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and continued use of the Game after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
